Equine Wellness Therapy
EQUINE WELLNESS (Adults Only)
After 3 years of study, feedback, questionnaires’ interacting with visitors and guests from all over the world and receiving numerous requests about would we please provide therapy sessions, we have introduced our new Equine Therapy Experience.
Equine Therapy has been shown to help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and even encourage more physical activity. We have witnessed some amazing and remarkable experiences with people while having them interact with our entire range of animals here at Yarramalong Clydesdales.
Equine therapy, also known as Equine-Assisted Therapy (EAT), is a treatment that includes equine activities and/or an equine environment in order to promote physical, occupational, and emotional growth in people suffering from but not limited to, ADD, ADHD, PTSD, Anxiety, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Dementia, Depression, Drug and Alcohol Dependency, Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Developmental Delay, the list is endless.
Not only our Clydesdale horses, but Murphy our quiet Donkey has become a very important therapeutic connection with clients and visitors. His gentle demeanor endears him to everyone.
In equine-facilitated therapy, psychotherapy and life coaching sessions, interacting with horses helps our clients explore their feelings and resolve issues peacefully and quickly.
The energy between an equine and a human is invisible, the client and the horse senses each others energy and can only connect when both are at peace and harmony with themselves first.
We teach a range of techniques including but not limited to, proper breathing techniques, overcoming phobias, releasing anxiety and depression, beating self loathing and reducing and then thriving on stress.
Horses are so highly sensitive that they will notice changes in a human’s heart rate, facial expressions and much more and the horse is transmitting signals about the person next to them that only a specialist horse person will notice. When you add these components together you arrive at the centre of the patients relief. The journey back from any trauma can be long and lonely but when you attend an Equine Therapy Session your recovery is much faster and more peaceful.
We look forward to welcoming you to this relaxed and peaceful experience.
